Qualities/Actions: Roasted dandelion root makes a nice coffee substitute. A good digestive bitter that supports healthy digestive function. Useful for improving apetite, digestion and elimination. Dandelion root contains a prebiotic called Inulin which is a soluble fiber that feeds the beneficial microorganisms in your gut. It also helps to stabilize blood sugar. 


Alterative: Gradually restore the proper function of the body and increase health and vitality.

Anti-Inflammatory: Controls inflammation, a reaction to injury or infection.

Antioxidant: A substance that protects cells from the damage caused by free radicals.

Aperient: Gently causes the bowels to move.

Bitter: Support digestion and to treat ailments such as bloating, nausea and heartburn.
Cholagogue: Promotes the flow of bile from the gall bladder into the duodenum.

Hepatic: Tone and strengthen the liver.
Hypoglycemic: Helps reduce the amount of sugar present in the blood.


Common Use: Decocotion, Culinary, Tincture.


Safety: People who are allergic or sensitive to the Asteracear (Daisy) family may be sensitive to Dandelion. Avoid if you have gallstones. 


Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in an airtight container.
